Overhead Faulted Circuit Indicators

Overhead Faulted Circuit Indicators have become a major component of distribution circuits as utilities strive to reduce outage time and improve system reliability. Power Delivery Products, Inc. offers two highly regarded models to address outage reduction goals: the highly visible Navigator LM and the FCI Load Tracker LM Low Profile. Both units offer self adjusting trip ratings and can be used for permanent or momentary faults. These FCIs come with stainless steel hardware and ultra violet inhibitor for long lasting performance. All Power Delivery Products Overhead FCIs are ANSI/IEEE 495-2007 compliant.

Navigator LM

Navigator LM

Navigator LM

  • High Visibility
  • Self Adjusting Trip Rating
  • Peak Load Memory
  • Permanent or Momentary Faults
  • Low Battery Indication, with Replaceable Lithium Cells
  • Shotgun Installation

This self powered FCI can be installed in seconds using a shotgun stick and is armed and ready to operate. The Navigator LM has a 100 AMP minimum trip rating from 0 to 30 AMPS of load current and automatically adjusts its trip rating when load rises above 30 AMPS.

The Navigator LM recognizes peak load current and will hold that trip rating for 72 hours offering complete inrush immunity. The units are powered by four replaceable lithium cells which offer over 20 years of shelf life and up to 1500 hours of flashing life on some models. A low battery indicator LED alerts line crews when to replace the cells. Six super bright LEDs are activated upon sensing fault current. Easily visible during the day or at night, the Navigator LM leads line crews quickly to locate the fault.

Several options are available for both permanent and momentary fault finding. All units can be reset manually with a magnet and automatically by time. Current and voltage reset options are also available.

Navigator LM Flag

Navigator LM Flag

Navigator LM Flag

  • 4 Hour LED Automatic Reset
  • 1, 2, or 7 Day Automatic Flag Reset
  • Permanent or Momentary Faults
  • Low Battery Indication, with Replaceable Lithium Cells
  • Shotgun Installation

When fault current exceeds the trip point, the Navigator LM Flag activates the red flag & LEDs. The LEDs are reset by current, time, or manually whichever comes first. The red flag is reset by either time or manually, giving both an indication on permanent as well as on momentary faults. The reset times for the FLAG can be selected independently to combine the advantages of a blinking indicator (better visibility) at night on locating urgent permanent faults and a mechanical flag for difficult to reach rural applications.

High Voltage Navigator

High Voltage Navigator

High Voltage Navigator

  • 46 kV to 169 kV Radial Circuits
  • Cable Diameters to 1.4 inches
  • High Intensity LED Indication
  • Low Battery Indication, with Replaceable Lithium Cells
  • Shotgun Installation

The Navigator LMHV is a High Voltage Fault Indicator designed for radial applications on 46 kV to 169 kV radial circuits. The FCI incoporates a Faraday cage to shield the internal electronic circuits from high intensity electrostatic fields.

Fault indication is indicated by high intensity LEDs, giving an all around excellent visibility.

The Navigator LMHV includes "One Size Fits All" Load Tracking with 72 hour peark load memory and fits cable diameters up to 1.4 inches.

FCI Load Tracker

FCI Load Tracker LM
Low Profile

FCI Load Tracker Low Profile LM

  • High Intensity LED Indication
  • Self Adjusting Trip Rating
  • Peak Load Memory
  • Shotgun Installation

The Load Tracker LM Low Profile Overhead FCI offers a self adjusting trip rating and peak load memory similar to the Navigator LM.

The unit is equipped with a non replaceable twenty year shelf life lithium cell and provides over 1200 hours of pure flashing time. All units have a time reset and can also be reset manually with a magnet. A current reset option is also available. The Load Tracker LM Low Profile can accept a wider degree of conductor sizes ranging from .16 inch to 1.6 inches.
